Spheres Of Influence, led by Grammy© Award winning trumpeter Brian Lynch, exemplifies the state of the art in the jazz idiom today Reflecting its leader’s pedigree in both the jazz (Art Blakey, Horace Silver, Phil Woods) and Latin/world music (Eddie Palmieri) fields, Spheres Of Influence’s repertoire mixes modern jazz, Afro-Caribbean, and world music traditions in original works and arrangements by Lynch. The group is scalable from a quintet of trumpet, piano, bass, drums and percussion up to a nine-piece, 5 horn ensemble. Spheres Of Influence has been a past recipient of the CMA/Doris Duke “New Works – Creation And Presentation” Award, and has recorded for the Criss Cross and EWE labels (latest release: ConClave Vol. 2 on CrissCross). Regular members of the group include Yosvany Terry or  Louis Fouché, alto sax; Zaccai Curtis or Manuel Valera, piano; Luques Curtis, bass; Obed Calvaire or Justin Brown , drums; and Pedro Martinez or  Little Johnny Rivero, percussion.
